Breeze on Tour - Kirkstall Abbey

My Life

My Mum, Harris and I went to a Breeze event at Kirkstall Abbey on Thursday. It was great; there were bands, loads of sport events for the older kids, circus skills, decorative bun making (you can see Harris with a whole one in his mouth!), loads of giant inflatables and of course the go-karting which Harris had a great time doing. Harris started out with 2 bumps, but then he was off overtaking, check the animated image out below.

Harris managed to get loads of sweets on top of his bun!

The bun gets polished off in one!

Then it was home for a bit of bubble blowing, that was after the chocolate ice-cream that's all over his face!

Being a scary pirate

These are a few more bubble blowing ones but from the day before; this day he was Fireman Sam!

I'll have to try another few more shots of him blowing bubbles, as an animation of images might be a bit more effective if there was a bubble!  ~Check out his face on the last one - he too looks rather upset at not producing a bubble!!

I photographed three sisters last weekend in their home and back garden. Here are a few from the session...

Boudoir Digital Sample Album

Albums & Products, Boudoir

I got one of my Boudoir sample albums in the post this morning, and it looks great, so for those of you that are engaged to be married why not consider having a boudoir shoot as a gift to your fiancee. Or maybe have one just for love or for yourself!  These are images of a small digital album that is available, but there are lots of other options too!

CBeebies at the Theatre

My Life

We went to CBeebies at St George's Hall last Saturday and Harris had such a great time; he was mesmerised by characters such as Postman Pat, Tommy Zoom and The Koala Brothers!  He got really excited when Bill and Ben were on the TV yesterday and he could hardly get his words out when he said  'I saw them, I saw them, I saw them at the theatre'!

Charlotte & Bahram's 8-08-08 Wedding

Weddings

I was second shooter at Charlotte and Bahram's wedding last Friday, which was at Harrogate Registry Office and then onto the Craiglands Hotel in Ilkley. It was such a great wedding; so chilled and relaxed so the Bride and Groom could just get on with enjoying their special day. Charlotte looked gorgeous in her beautiful dress, I love all the material at the bottom. It was the first wedding that I have actually been second shooter at, and it was very chilled, I could just get on with capturing people during the day. I photographed Charlotte at her Dads while Mat covered the groom, so there are plenty of getting ready shots from me - I can never pick my favourites easy - I blog far too many images - something I need to work at! So be sure to check out the slideshow at the base of the post to see them all!

Anyway onto the images I shot from the day...

A couple of shoe shots... you've got to give the shoes lots of attention!!  I loved the shutters in the bedroom.

Everyone hands on helping the bride

I tried out something a little different:

Charlottes Grandad

I love this shot!

Mmm Pimms, my fave,  shame I couldn't partake!!

Ha ha, I love this of Charlotte, Bahram doesn't look scared though!

And this moment

John & Rachel's Wedding

Weddings

You may remember John and Rachel from an engagement shoot I posted a few weeks ago. These are a few images from their big day and a few more included in the slideshow at the bottom of the post. It was a great day, and so hot, probably the hottest day (or only hot day) I can remember this Summer! The Church ceremony had a very eccentric Vicar, which created lots of laughs which was great for the photos, though it went over a little so it was pretty tight with time for the photos, but we still managed to get some great images. I know they have just got back from honeymoon; I hope you had a great time, but now onto the images...

For John and Rachel and any guests that would like to view the online gallery, this is the link:

I love the detail on Rachel's dress

Mmmm, yummy!

This is the engagement print that Rachel and John had in a mount for their guests to sign as a momento from their day.

How cute; there were little bottles of bubbles on the tables that all the kids were going mad for.

Me with the happy couple!

Craig & Sarah's Wedding Ball.

Weddings

These are some images from Craig & Sarah's Wedding Ball at Woodsome Hall. They had Wed on the Monday prior to this at Swinton Park.

Sarah looked stunning in her exquisite dress which was set off by the beautiful location.  Sarah wanted me to capture candid shots from the evening; these are a few from the event.

If you were a guest at the Ball and would like to see all of the images from the evening, please use the link below (proofing gallery).  The password is the Bride & Grooms Surname (all lowercase)

Thanks to Lynne from Stems Design for the recommendation.

A few details of the gorgeous flowers

And one from me at the end of the night; I must get that hair trimmed!  Thanks to Philip the bagpiper for taking my pic, think it was because I asked to photograph his sporran!

Jo & Nic Hot Air Balloon Flight

Portrait, My Life

My good friends Jo and Nic went on a balloon flight over the Dales a week last Sunday.  They had asked me if I would document it for them, which I thought was a great idea - though they hadn't warned me that I had to be up at an ungodly hour!  When we got there it was really low visibility and it was touch and go whether they would get to fly.  It was great to watch the whole process of the balloon being prepared and seeing one so up close - it was massive and they said it was a small one!

Harris on Andy's shoulders - he had a great time

Think Nic was getting a bit hot!

Getting nervous Nic?

Their off...

We got in the car and followed the balloon from the ground...

Give those muscles a workout Nic!  She's got better arms than Madonna!

A rare one of me & H!

Jo & Nic have just emailed me some amazing pics that they took from the air, take a look.....

Me in action!

I love this picture of Nic's.  They said that everytime the heat blower was used on the balloon the cattle and sheep below starting going crazy running around!
